for any clueless person that for one iota believed or even just wanted to believe that our election of a black prez means racism is behind us: 1. i don't really want to suffer to talk to you because you are an idiot. 2. talk to my cousin that was fired today because she's apparently unfortunate enough to be black. didn't matter that she was their best employee and had received many bonuses and praise for great work (praise that came from her supervisor and customers)...a newly hired director decided that she wanted to get rid of all the black girls and bring in white ones (she was actually overheard saying those words of course y the union stewart) and fired my cousin telling her that her performance was subpar. subpar?! since when?!
so yes...grievences and complaints will be made to the union and the proper channels will be taken to address the situation. the union stewart is advisng her and the others. i'm sure a class-action suit will occur. i'm ready to call and write every media outlet i can, but i have to wait for now. the company she works for runs on donations...i wonder how they'd feel if their donors found out how they treat their employees? and by "treat" i mean break the law. i would go into specifics about who the company is and if you knew you'd be surprised but i'll stay mum for now.
what makes the whole situation more tragic, is that my cousin is the nicest and most generous person you'd ever meet. she really loved her job and was very good at it. the customers loved her too. they would only want to talk to her and she had the highest conversion rate of everyone there. now she feels horribly betrayed and used. hurting her is like kicking a puppy with a steel toe boot. you just don't do it. unless you are evil.
you have no idea how hard it is for me to quell the urge to go kick some certain people with a steel toe. i'm trying to get over a cold and was about to go to bed when i found out what happened today. sick or not, you really don't want to piss me off. one sure way to do so, is to hurt my family. if you do that, i better not know who you are or where you live or where you like to hang out. i'm just saying...it wouldn't be good for you that's all.
